The WOW Foundation in association with International Humanitarian Aid Concern
and A.L. Digital Ltd. is proud to donate Sarajevo's first Internet web server.
This represents the
culmination of a project which has been the focus of attention for a dedicated
team of professional specialists, world class industry leaders and all-round
good guys and humanitarians. It marks a significant moment in international communication
and collaboration, and we are honoured to be a part of this international peace
and goodwill gesture.

We would like to express our special thanks to Silicon
Graphics Incorporated, manufacturers of some of the world's fastest and most
sophisticated Internet and graphics technology,
Reality Computing Limited, the gracious suppliers of the SGI hardware, and
to A.L.Digital Limitedfor their considerable
support and cooperation in this project. We could not have done it without them, and
greatly appreciate their hands-on technical expertise and enthusiasm in taking on this
ground-breaking project and on-site installation and set-up.
Silicon Graphics are best known for their involvement in virtual reality
simulations and visualization equipment, and for enabling the special effects and
computer graphics scenes in movies like Toy Story, the Terminator series,
the recent Disney epics, Batman 3, Jumanji and Jurassic Park. A.L. Digital
have provided all of the technical assistance which is essential
in establishing a strong and viable Internet presence.
Without their considerable time, effort, understanding, cooperation and
assistance, this project would not have been possible. We would also like
to thank IHAC for asking us to be a part of this historic humanitarian project,
and join them in wishing the people of Sarajevo and the surrounding areas
good luck and prosperity on their mission of peace.
The WOW Foundation
The WOW Foundation is a non profit making organisation dedicated to researching
the methods and effects by which the impact of high level interactive technology
might be developed and applied, on a scale that relates to the world at
large, the community in particular, & the individual at heart.
We are currently located at ideal premises for the inception of a project
such as this: the ground floor of a beautiful grade one listed building,
Voysey House in Chiswick, London, England, which we share with A.L Digital Ltd.,
who are technically conversant with every Internet and interactive digital
standard and are currently converting the top floor of the building into
a digital audio and video recording studio.
The WOW Foundation stands for open communication through the twinning of the highest
ideology with the finest technology.
The WOW Foundation stands for the human capacity to grow beyond boundaries.
The WOW Foundation stands for spontaneous creativity, crafted through the very
latest developments in the interactive field.

It is in this spirit that we offer this peace bridge for global collaboration and
peaceful dialogue. We look forward to playing our part in continuing to open the channels
of communication, hearing from the people of Bosnia, and receiving on-line contributions
and feedback from the rest of the world as we declare the Bosnian Internet gateway
open.
